Here we look at controlling the depth on your shots and getting the ball to land closer to the white line which makes them much harder for you opponents to deal with. If your shots land to short in the table they are much easier to attack, counter and control,however if you can get the ball deep and towards the white line it makes it much more difficult to play a strong ball on. In this video we look at a few simple drills using a towel as a target that you can use to judge the depth on your shots and start to improve this area of your game. We focus on getting your open ups, topspins in the rally and returns deeper in the table and look at some tips and technical points to help you with this.
