A float serve is a short serve which has very little or no spin, This video will focus on how to do this serve and why this it is used. The float serve is usually used in conjunction with a backspin serve in order to create indecision in your opponent, if you can have a similar action between your float and backspin serve it’s difficult for players too see which is which and may misread the spin casing a mistake or weak return. Mastering a good float serve will give you a lot more options when serving and more opertunities to get a weak return.
