Video with robot (Bh open up, loop and serves)
Hello
I have filmed some footage of stroke on my robot if you have the occasion to give me some ideas on it ? There is several different things, maybe long to comment on everything but iād be happy to get a feedback on what stand out in general

Hi Wister,
Thanks for your video this is great!
I’m going to go straight into the feedback for you š
Backhand Open Up:
Firstly, I’m very impressed with your technique overall, I can see you have spent a lot of time practicing your shots.
For your backhand open up, I think you could have a lot more wrist and forearm acceleration to get more quality on the ball, at the moment it is good technique but quite passive.
BH Loop:
Your right foot is to far forward, bring it back to be more square or even bring the right foot behind your left. Your elbow on the backhand is quite low, it could be a bit higher so you can use your elbow as a pivot to accelerate your forearm.
FH Loop:
I am very impressed with your forehand loop, excellent weight transfer and body rotation. If you notice on your follow through your bat is going quite high and breaking the line of direction. Try and finish your forehand and in front of your body. I think if your weight is a touch more forward this will help this. At times you do it correctly, for example the forehand at 57 seconds is perfect!
Pendulum Backspin:
I like the way you are using your wrist to get acceleration however if you could grip the bat with more emphasis on your index finger and thumb when releasing into the ball this will give you a better contact and brushing action to get more spin. I think also if you get your body lower on your serves it would mean you contact the ball lower and then the ball will not bounce as high.
This tip applys for all the serves I feel right now, get the foundation right, stay low and contact the ball with a better contact using your index finger and thumb and you will have a lot more spin and quality.
Hook backspin:
Nice action, but I think there needs to be more backswing, imagine pulling back on a bow and arrow, this will give you a lot more bat speed to brush the ball. Also add your elbow and wrist to accelerate into the ball.
Hope this helps for now, I don’t want to overload you with to much info at the moment. Please send us a video in a few weeks time after practicing these few tips and I’m sure we will see a big improvement to your game š
Hi, that’s great to get your feedback, i appreciate ! š I find your advice very useful, it’s things i had not noticed ! Will try all that
Hi Wister, that’s great no worries. Keep up the good work practicing and keep us posted š
I had a lesson the other day with a very good coach. He wanted me to hit the pendulum serve close to the body. I was hitting it in a similar position to you away from the body. He mentioned ALL top pro players do this with no exception. There are many reasons why they do this.
Hello Maurice, thanks for your advice, i will try it.
Also at my last sessions i tried to have the elbow higher for the bh loop and indeed it helped a lot !
