Answer for How to fix Leg imbalance

Hi Sportsmasterbellz17,

Ok so there are a few things which you can do to help improve this area of your game and get better balance in your muscles. The first thing we would recommend is having a look at our fitness section of videos, in particular this video- https://tabletennisdailyacademy.com/videos/quick-fixes-to-improve-your-speed/ Although this is aimed at improving speed its also brilliant for getting both legs working evenly and together to push back from both sides of the table so give some of those drills a try!

Also exercises that focus on both legs at once, probably the best one is squats, this doesn’t even need to be heavy weight squats, just body weight squats or jumps will improve your muscle balance in your legs and core area. In addition try to practice lots of footwork drills where you use this movement from left to right, so back into your backhand. A great one for this is here- https://tabletennisdailyacademy.com/videos/backhand-middle-backhand-wide/ it will get you moving in both directions and start to become more confident pushing back stronger with your left leg!

Let us know how you find that or any other questions feel free to get back to us on here!
