I actually think this probably feels worse than it looks to me. As you mentioned its not easy but getting lower will help, think of a goal keeper trying tonsave a penalty in football.
I would also say your body rotation has been slightly lost compared to when you play your forehand from one fixed position, so try to get a little more rotation and also keep the backswing slightly higher.
However as I said I don’t think its as bad as you maybe feel it is, still lots of positives there. Lastly try to stay loose and relaxed with your grip and arm, this will help with the different ball placements and stop the shots becoming too jerky or tense.
