Basic exercises
Hi there,
I am trying to learn a beginner the basic shots (fh/bh drive and push). I want to focus on movement from the beginning, so I mix it in. Just playing fh to fh diagonal may get a little boring for the beginner over time. Tried to change it up a little with one diagonal, one to the middle. Any other good exercises you can recommend?
Hi Martin, I think you can mix it up well by doing the drives and also the pushes down the lines and not only diagonal too.
Also X’s and H’s is a good one to add movement and chnage of direction, I also really like two backhands two forehands and also Backhand middle backhand wide which is great for improvement movement and switching between backhand and forehand.
Lastly have a look through our training exercise videos section as we have a lot in there,some which are more simple and others which can be simplified for beginners.
