Hey Sid, yes the higher the sponge thickness the more springy and quick the rubbers will be, it also does have a slight impact on the weight of the overall bat of course, although minimal. I would say from what you’ve said above about your game style I would suggest you go for 1.9 and then if you feel you need more speed at a later time,you can always change to the 2.1 when it comes to switching to a new rubber again ?
