Hey! I think it’s definitely worth continuing to work on and improving this area of the game because it will really help you going forward. I’ve had a look at the video you sent in and a couple of things stand out that will really help you take this shot forward.
Firstly if you can relax your wrist and forearm more this will really help, it will also get your wrist in the correct position more naturally just by thinking about being relaxed and not gripping the bat too tightly. This allows your wrist to be able to move freely and turn over the ball to create more spin.
Actually a couple of the backhands you did were very nice and the opponent blocked off because of the spin. So really focus on waiting for the ball and don’t worry about hitting it hard but just having a nice acceleration and brushing the ball lightly with a soft touch. This will help you play these apin type shots more consistently. I think you are not far away at all from really taking this shot forward, so keep working on it and also last be sure to stay low in your legs and body, with your weight forward when you play this type of backhand. It will improve for sure if you can focus on these areas 🙂
