Answer for What to look at in particular during a stroke/rally?

Hi,
This is a very good question.
Generally, you should look to have quite a broad view of the player, bat, and ball. This is because if you focus too closely on one area you will miss out on a lot of key information elsewhere. This should all be done subconsciously because trying to take control of this consciously will be too slow.
After you have played your shot you want to go straight to this broad view and not watch the ball too closely as there is no useful information to be got until after the other payer has hit their shot. This is a very common mistake. Once the other player has hit the ball you can then focus on the ball more. Although you will still need to have an idea about the other player’s movements.
I hope this helps.
