Answer for Forehand loop against backspin

Hey! Yeah of course, no problem. So I would say the mian things to focus on that will help you improve are hinging your arm more from the elbow and trying to snap from the lower arm rather than using the shoulder to much, this will help you be more relaxed and also using your legs and body more will as well. Try to think of the shot as almost 2 parts, so get down low in the legs as the ball comes in and twist the body back slightly, then try to pause for a split second in this position and as the ball reaches the top of the bounce this is where you should try to accelerate through and contact the ball. Using the elbow and lower arm to hinge as I said.

I think you are getting a nice brush on the ball so keep the focus on that and trying to keep the bat angle slightly closed all the way though the shot, this will help generate more spin.

Lastly I would say try to be just slightly more side on to the table when playing this shot, so right foot back a little bit more. This will help the use of legs and body to rotate and make you feel as if you have more time. Let us know if you have any questions on that, but I think for now those are the key things to focus on and work on for a bit.

Thanks, Dan 🙂
