Hi, I am having issues playing against players with anti spin rubber on their backhand. Can u tell me some useful tactics against them? Thanks.

I’m a bit below Dan and Tom’s level so if you’re opponents look like players from TTDSL you should probably disregard my newbie advice but I’ll share it just in case.
In general I expect shorter balls from their anti-spin than I would from a normal rubber, and so I’m deliberately staying closer to the table than usual.
Other than that it kind of feels like playing against pimples. Serve backspin, attack one, push one, attack one etc. Or attack a few and then push if you’re confident you can.
Attack to their forehand and see if it’s good. If it is and they’re comfortable using it, the crossover point could be your optimal place to attack. If they’re uncomfortable on their forehand, they’re probably standing in the middle of the table and both wide angles are your best friend.

Hey Guys, what Rafal said about a backspin serve and then attacking can be really good because it comes back basically float so you can go for a strong attack on this ball. also what’s key is not rushing, so try too slow down and take your time and really focus on being consistent in the rallies as this style wants to just force you into to silly mistakes. Often these type of players don’t attack well so sometimes it’s good to push long all over the table and wait for the right ball to attack.

I would also say try to move them around as well because they are usually more comfortable getting the ball back when they are in position so get them wide into the forehand and moving back if you can. Lastly I know it’s hard but just try to almost enjoy the challenge of playing these different styles and to not get annoyed as this will really help you play your best level! I hope this helps and any other questions just let us know.
