Answer for Should I take a break?

Hey Dimitri, yeah I totally get what you mean and I agree it’s probably just burnout from playing a lot and not having ,much break at all. I would say if you take a couple of days off now and start fresh at the weekend or on Monday, that still gives you a solid 2 weeks of training before the event. Then after the tournament I would say to take a longer break for a week or so and then come back fresher.

Of course it’s up to you if you do a short break before the event, but if you feel it will affect you then keep training up to the tournament but have a good rest after. If you do decide to have no break before the tournament then I’d say try to do things in training which help you just feel good, for a while. Just to build confidence by doing things which aren’t to tough and to feel good before the tournament.
