Hey Aric! So to me it looks like you’ve got a good solid base to work from and improve and there’s lot’s of good stuff here already. I feel the biggest thing right now which will help you improve fast is your contact on the ball and trying to get more brush and a lighter contact on it, you’ve got good power already in your shots but just working on having more spin and safety will really help your consistency. The time when this is most important is on the opening topspin against a push ball or a long backspin serve. You’ll have a lot more consistency if you can really focus on spin with these shots and also you won’t have to push as many back when you get confident with this to.
I also think just being a bit more on the balls of your feet and staying low as you move around the court will help you stay in good position for your shots. Lastly for now I think working on the passive game a bit so when the opponents get the first attack, being able to block and control a couple of shots and keep yourself in the rally. This is easy to practice you can get your friend to topspin medium speed anywhere on the table and you have to try to keep moving into position and block it back to his forehand. This is a great way to work on the passive game and is realistic to a game as you don’t know where he will play.
I think if you focus on these few things for now and work on those you will see a pretty quick improvement, but like I said you’ve got a good foundation to work from so the changes are not major as well, let us know how you are getting o0n or if you have any questions on this. Dan 🙂
