Hey guys, just so you know I saw your reply on question I asked regarding blocking thanks for the reply. I’ve just came across a player who loves to run around for their forehand and it is really lethal. No matter what I do they always get their forehand in. What do I do against such players he is left handed as well.

Hey Hamza, no problem at all. Ok these are actually my favourite type of players to play, once you can get used to blocking and containing the first topspin attack these players really struggle. Of course a good way to play against them is pin them into the backhand side to start with which forces them to move a lot into position, however after a while they will start to move their early to be ready for their forehand, so you then need to look to play wide into the forehand side and then back to the backhand corner as they start to sneak around the backhand side more to use their forehand.
So Improving your first block will be really key here, if you can control the first forehand often you’ll be able to beat these players.
Another great option to try is getting in the first attack and stopping them playing the first topspin, often you will find these players who live to attack with their forehand are much worse when they are on the defensive as they are not sued to it, so getting in the first topspin and putting them under pressure is often a really good tactic as well! Tom 🙂
