Hi i have a question could you please maybe make a Video or somehow maybe explain me again how i should really add Speed in for half Long balls on my Backhand or even short once that are slow Low on the table. Because i can Not Attack them with a full backhand Rotation stroke and really its one of my biggest weaknesses If the ball IS coming slow Low and short or half Long to my Backhand and i can Not pivot i See that i can Not add in Speed to my Backhand here and also it happens on medium height balls that a short slow or short slow and half Long to my Backhand. Do you have maybe a Idea how to fix this to be able to add Speed to these Balls with my Backhand it will be very helpful maybe you also have Videos ?
The think Is i can not get the ball Here Close to my Body to the backhand and also i can not wait till IT Drops of the table because its Just to slow ?

Hey Gabriel, yeah these shots can be difficult for sure. We have a video here which will help on the half long backhand shots:

But sometimes on these shots when it’s very difficult it’s actually better to just play a good quality push back rather than trying to open up and attack but playing a weak shot. So it’s also about shot selection, if you feel it’s half long but you can still play a decent attack that’s great but if not then try to play an aggressive push back to the opponent and then either force them to open up or they may even push back and you get a chance to attack the next ball. Hope this helps. Cheers, Tom
