Answer for A little question about the grip

Hey! I know exactly what you mean and a lot of it does come down to personal preference and comfort. However what I would say os thetat for good control its is important to have the webbing of the hand close in to the blade without a gap, this makes it easier to control the blade and be stable.

You don’t want it so far in that the webbing is squashed hard but just fits snugly into the blade. Personally I feel this is quite key to having a stable grip especially for blocking and control. Your thumb should always be in the rubber like your finger on the other side should be as well, it looks more correct at the start of the video you sent with the thumb placed a bit higher onto the rubber and the webbing tucked in fairly tight to the blade 🙂
