I think you can still have good serves that are completely legal with practice, sometimes it’s not the spin that players find hard its the height over the net and keeping your serves very hard to attack. On the other hand I think you don’t need to be too “nice” with your serves if you feel you can serve to the arguably legal point with effective spin etc then why not. I think when you get to a point when people complain then of course you can re-asses your serves and make sure they are not too hidden. Hope that makes sense!
