Yes you’re right it does depend, however I don’t think there is necessarily a right time to move to a carbon blade because everyone is individual and it’s all about your preferences. I personally still use an all wood blade because I prefer the control and feeling it gives. Other players use carbon blades for extra speed, but also a different feeling when striking the ball.
I would definitely recommend for you, staying with the wood blade for now while your fine tuning your game and improving quickly as you said. That doesn’t mean you can’t try and experiment with carbon blades for the future or something you like better than your current blade. I would keep in mind a carbon blade isn’t always a “step up” from a wood blade and you might find they aren’t for you anyway, and that a fast wood blade is better suited to your game.
