Hey Deep, the TTDSL was good thanks, all went smoothly, won’t give away any results as they’ll be coming out on the YouTube series!
Ok yes so reading through what you said above I can totally understand how it’s frustrating and I’ve been there in the past too. Making unforced errors and rushing in games, it’s very easily done. The best way to not let it affect you this dip in results is to try to go back to basics as you said and play with more consistency. Usually in this situation players end up actually almost beating themselves from mistakes. So if you can really focus on keeping solid and consistent, you’ll at least make your opponent earn every point.
That doesn’t mean being negative but just maybe thinking about playing with more spin and taking your time with each shot. So your plan b is really to stick to your game an but just take a little pace off the ball if your not feeling confident and play with extra spin.
I would also say after the match you were disappointed with, try to go outside the hall, get some fresh air and clear your head ready for the next games and try to reset. Otherwise one bad match can carry through and become a few bad matches. So it’s important to try and remove that match mentally before playing the next one!
Thanks, Dan 🙂Â
