Answer for Dealing with Long, Floaty Balls to the Middle

Hey Dimitri, I would say your best option to try to get used to doing is stepping around and playing a forehand. As you said it normally goes long and this is normally because players end up lifting the float balls too much, try to really focus on keeping your weight forward and brushing the ball more forward and not upwards.

Quite often its better to be more aggressive with these float balls, if you try to play to safe or to soft sometimes the ball will fly long, so try to get your feet in position quickly and be solid on the ground and then try to play a positive shot. I think if you practice this getting into position for your forehand it will help a lot!
