Answer for defensive-style-of-play

Hi

If you have decided on a style of play that suits you that is brilliant. It means you can now be more specific in practice and start to make some steady improvements.

My advice would be to continue to watch the players with the style you would like on Youtube. There are some videos in the TTD Academy library on pushing and some training exercises to try out. Practice from different distances and alot of in and out footwork will be important. Also against different levels of spin to really find your touch.

With equipment I would just suggest an allround blade. If you’re comfortable with your medium pips stick with them. For the FH side something not too springy.

Look out for more defensive videos from me and Tom in the future aswell.
