Hey Chris,
It looks like he’s doing really well! The main thing I notice from this is that when he’s in position his shots are good quality it’s just sometimes getting into position or switching quickly from backhand to forehand and back where sometimes he’s caught out. I would say the main things to focus on right now are irregular/random switching drills to help his transition between backhand and forehand and also just continue with footwork drills.
Both these things will make a big difference when he starts to develop them further. Then of course building in the serve and return into the drills because this is important at every level.
He looks like he’s doing really well with the short pips thou and got a lot of confidence to attack with them, so using that strength and then being able to get the opponents on the back foot and attack with the forehand will be a fantastic combination, so working on returning aggressively with the pips when the opposition is serving and then using his forehand to follow up
He did this really well a few times but I think this could be a real weapon for him so worth spending time getting even better! Let me know if you have any questions, Tom 🙂
