Hi, yes that’s right if you don’t pause for split second the swing can lose control. It also helps to get the maximum acceleration into the shot by stopping and then brushing quickly through the shot you get a whipping effect and in turn more speed and spin.
Lastly its much easier to get and effective weight transfer with this slight pause too.
