Answer for match-analysis-of-my-game

Hey Jenrich, it looks like you’re already playing a good level and there a few things that I think will really help you , just some small changes that can help you improve a lot I think. So the first one is really working on a strong return of serve and trying to keep the ball tight and short.  Your long pushes were normally fine but against players with a very strong attack it’s important to be able to touch the ball short well and stop them attacking. So work on stepping in and taking the ball early and touching short a bit more if you can.
the next thing I think will really help you is being still and stable as you hit the shots, sometimes you hit a really nice shot but end up a bit away from the table or a bit off balance going backwards. So if you can try to keep your body weight forward and feet solid on the ground as you are hitting your topspin shots it will help you to recover and keep on the attack and not end up going back to far away from the table. Often you started the rally really well with a nice attack but then end up to far away to stay on the attack and keep the pressure up on your opponent so I think this area will help you a lot.
The last thing I would say is you were always much better when you got the first attack, so when your opponent is pushing always try to be ready and get your topspin in as much as you can, sometimes you did this really well but sometimes there were some long pushes that you ended up pushing back, this gives the opponent a chance to get in first so if you can avoid this it’s much better.
I hope this helps! All the best, Dan 🙂
