Yes mostly it will be repetition to keep on working on getting the forehand shorter in practice and eventually in games this will start to come through. i think also lots of irregular work in training so you don’t know where the ball is going and then it’s harder to keep you shots short and more similar to a match. Sometimes playing less matches and really focusing on improving certain areas in training can definitely help, I don’t think stopping completely because at the end of the day to improve it in matches you still need to play them to keep testing yourself, but giving yourself time between games is important to focus on that forehand.
