I agree you played a good first set here and overall the match wasn’t bad at all. I just think as the match went on .you ended up rushing slightly and getting more tense which caused more mistakes. Most of the time this player wasn’t attacking of hitting the ball past you, he was just defending and waiting for your mistakes. So this is where you need to slow things down and try to be solid and cut out the unforced errors because you have the shots to beat this type of player.
I also think if you can bring this type of player in and out from the table with a short push or drop shot this would make it very hard for him, sometimes you did this well but other times maybe went for too much on the topspin shots and put it in the net. Overall there’s just some small changes and you will be winning this type of match I’m sure!
