Hey! Yah sure no worries. You’ve got a nice solid all round game which is great and good technique as well. I think the main things to work on for you are the passive side of the game so when you have to block and then counter attack your opponents shots if they get in first. Often when you got your attack in first after a nice short serve you won a lot of the points. It was when the other player got in first and you had to block that you struggles a bit more. So working on being solid and controlling the first loop from the opponents will help you I think as that’s where a few mistakes came from.

Also you have a nice serving game where you can keep the ball tight well I just think adding in a bit more variation will really help you win more points and become more unpredictable, so serving more into the short backhand side of the opponents and mixing up the placement and also some long fast serves to keep them guessing. Or maybe even using your backhand serve I saw you do a few times a bit more often.

The last thing I would say is maybe just to get your backhand open up against a push as confident as your forehand side. Sometimes when the ball was coming long onto your backhand you ended up pushing back rather than playing a topspin which gave the opponent a chance for the first attack sometimes. When you got the backhand open up with plenty of spin it was a great shot and he struggled with it, so just having confidence to go for this when the ball is long will really help to.

These are all quite small details as I think overall you didn’t play a bad game at all and it seemed very tight. I hope that helps and let us know if you have any other questions.

Dan 🙂
