Hey! Ok so I’ve just had a look at the video you sent us in and there’s a lot of good points about your forehand, and also potential to improve even more I feel. Your technique is solid and your acceleration through the contact is good. The main area where I feel you can really improve this shot is your body position, at the moment you tend to come up and slightly upright with your body at the end of the shot, this will affect the amount of spin you get as the bat angle and contact will change slightly as you lift up.
So focus on keeping your body low and weight forward though the shot and especially the contact point. This all starts with the push, so make sure you step in nice and low to the table and come back out low for the topspin shot. Also when you play the topspin try to activate your legs more, especially your right leg, so bending it down slightly before the contact and pushing back up into the ball. Dan does this very well if you watch his forehand open up and helps get a lot of spin quality. It kind of acts like a spring to add energy to the ball, if you work on these 2 areas I think you can improve your forehand even more and win more points with it! Let me know if you have any questions on what I said there 🙂
