Hey SDTTA, we have a great video that goes into detail on playing against long pips, in that we also have graphics showing and explaining what happens to the ball when hit with pips so definitely worth a watch of that!
The most important way to learn is understand what pips do to the ball and then play against them to get experience and confidence. Bear in mind that pips can’t generate anywhere near as much spin as a reverse rubber so they usually work with the spin you give them, so keep serves simple and be sure to not rush against them and be confident to push and keep the ball in play when you have to.
