Hey Jimmy,sorry I missed your reply on this! Yeah see how you go with he Cybershape and then try to settle on something you are comfortable with to stick with long term.

Yes the backswing on the forehand makes sense and it will definitely help working on this but also thinking about getting the contact in front.

Serving is definitely a tricky in and I think it can be hard for coaches because everyone is very individual and it comes down to getting a feeling for getting the spin on serves. I would say with serving as boring as it is its just about repetition, if you can do service practice little and often it will really help, try to experiment and be creative with serves, often doing this you will find you start to get more spin and find what works best for you personally.

A good way to practice without the table at home is simply trying to brush under the ball with backspin onto the floor and trying to get it to spin back to you, or catching the ball in your hand and seeing it spin. This is a good way to improve the feel on the serves and see the spin you are getting.
