The reverse is definitely the hardest serve to oearn for almost all players when developing it,and especially so generating side/backspin with the reverse is particularly difficult to master, so you are certainly not alone in finding this hard and its a very technical serve.
I had a look at the pictures you sent and your grip looks correct, just make sure to squeeze the rubber with your first finger and thumb when serving. I know what you mean with the wrist getting in the way, try to get the bat and grip in a position where tou can avoid this. Also improving wrist flexibility will help with some slight Stretching or exercises.
Be really interesting to see a video of you doing the serve if possible and I could give you some feedback. The table looks great and is a good solution until the robot comes as you said. Cheers, Tom
