Answer for Robot practice tips,

Hey Simas,

Glad you are enjoying the videos and find them helpful!

Yes of course right now the situation to practice with a robot is probably the only table tennis training you will be able to do, so it’s great you have a robot set up!

The best things to work on with a robot are technique and consistency of shots and really being efficient in the recovery things like that.

So after watching your video there are a couple of tips which I think will really help you, firstly on your forehand you have really good body rotation and backswing however at the end of the shot you tend to twist across a bit too far and your weight goes to your left side, try to focus on your body coming more forward at the end ofnthe shot and keeping your head down, with your bat finishing in front slightly more too.

Also as you rotate try to keep your shoulders more level, at the moment your left shoulder ends up much lower at the end of the shot and your right shoulder comes up. Lastly focus on getting your lower arm relaxed and using the elbow to accelerate and snap through on contact a bit more.

Now on the backhand, again some really good parts, body is low and good bend in the knees this is great! Actually the overall swing is good but again try to get the bat finishing more forwards and in front of you and not going across the body.

Think about your wrist really pointing forward where you want the ball to go. I would also try to practice this shot from the backhand side more if possible with the th the space around you of course.

These may seem like a lot of changes but they are all quote small things, you’ve got some great basics there and you can definitely improve with some more practice!

Any questions about what I’ve said please just ask and of course any further questions or information too 🙂
