I would personally suggest sticking with the blade you currently have and become really used to he feel of it. The only reason to go to a slower or all wood blade as you said would be if after these 7 months you feel you can’t control the blade and you are making mistakes because the speed is too much.
However if that’s not the case then I’d stick with it because the more you can learn and build your game while not changing the equipment the better, many players try to fix parts of their game or improve by changing equipment but almost always this isn’t the answer.
Anyway if it’s really too fast then maybe think about changing but otherwise I’d say stick too it 🙂 Hope that helps
