Answer for Technique Analysis

Hey Rasmus, so I’ve had a look at your video now and there a re a few things which I feel will help you progress for now. The first one is on your backhand side sometimes you tend to take the ball a little bit too far away from the body which makes you reach forward slightly and can cause mistakes. So try to allow the ball to come through towards you and take the backhand closer to your body.

You also looked much stronger and won a lot more points when you managed to attack well and early in the point, most of the time you got in the first topspin you won the point, so definitely try to work on and focus on short serves and getting in the first attack with good spin. When you do play your forehand topspin just be sure to stay low with your legs and body and keep your weight forward as well.

I think overall you’ve got good foundations to have a solid game and improve, the net stage is the areas I mentioned and also just working on consistency of your shots and developing more spin. Also I think many of your serves drifted long , this opponent didn’t attack =them that much but some higher level players will for sure. So really try to keep your serves tight and 2 bounces on the opponents side.

Keep up the good work and any questions on what I said just let me know, Tom 🙂
