I think focus will be as you said regular to start with and then mixing it up which I have been working on. Have identified certain areas that need work. One thing I am struggling with is when doing Bh to Bh rally and then it’s blocked to middle I should be pouncing on it with my fh but I’m just not reading the change and it’s awkward. If it wider on fh I’m fine but if near middle line then I almost want to move across and play Bh. Now I don’t know whether my hips are not open enough to be able to rotate and play fh or whether after playing Bh I’m preparing for another Bh that I then can’t play fh or whether it’s because my partner blocks pretty quick that I don’t get enough time to react how I would I really don’t know. I may need to do that exercise with a academy player and ask what issue is.
with regards to playing matches at end of session will always play a match but on Tuesday I’m going to another club purely for the match practice. It’s the club I use to play for 2-3 yrs ago so there will play in bubbles of 6 and will get to rotate partners and play matches against various styles and standard of these players is good so will give me good match practice every week.
