Another thing I have started to practice is getting balance of fast open up and spinny one. I would say following a heavier push I go spinny but I would love to be able to be able to hit a fast spinny low one. I think this falls into if I can recover after serve then I will be in better position to play a more powerful open up. When I’m doing a drill where I’m just fed back spin multiball I find I can hit a powerful open up but in match play not always the case so I can only assume I’m not recovery from touch or serve to be in best position to get the power open up in or I’m not moving into position fast enough. Also I think my problem is in matches I ball watch rather than watch opponents bat angle. When multiballing I’m watching bat and moving fast into position but I think I’m matches I’m ball watching and then moving by which time it’s bit late.
any advise on any training drills I can try?
tbh I’m looking forward to season ending so I can just train, playing 3 leagues and not always having time to do just drills is frustrating when I know I need to work on certain things.
