The Active Backhand Block

xxx NULL 1

The backhand side has become much more important in table tennis over recent years and is now a vital element for having a balanced game. Although the main strength of kamal’s game is his forehand it’s not always possible to attack first and you need to be able to stay in the point and look for the next opportunity to attack. Kamal over his career has worked on having a strong active block so he can hold off opponents attacks but also force them into difficult positions and get them off balance, which in turn often brings up the chance to get back on the attack and dominate the point. We’ll look in this video at this active block and how it can be a key weapon for you in the passive game.

In this video you will learn:
– Technique for the active block
– Contact and timing needed
– Controlling the placement
