Hey Gentlemen,
Here is a video of me attempting a backhand flick against down spin. Please let me know what you think.
Thanks!

Hey Oldpath,

Ok so there are a couple of small thing that will really help you improve this shot. Firstly as Dan mentioned in the response to the forehand and backhand push shots it’s important to practice the stepping in and out for each shot with your right foot.

Also now if you watch the finishing position of your bat it goes slightly upwards and across to the side away from your body. If you can get the bat coming more forward and keep this acceleration and whip you have but direct I the energy out in front and through the ball you will be able to generate much more spin. So as you prepare for the shot try to bring the wrist almost straight back towards your body and then brushing out in front, like releasing a coiled spring.

You are nice and low which is great and I don’t think it will take too long to really make some progress and improve this shot!

Some of the shots towards the end the ball is coming quite long and off the end of the table which means you have to play more of a short topspin backhand rather than a flick which actually you do very well! But if possible you can get the robot to put the ball slightly shorter these will be easier to step in and really get the flick shot going.
