Is there a technique on how to push low(er) and short(er) with a rubber that has a high throw angle. Backhand and forehand specifics, if possible.

Hi Alexio, to keep the ball low and short when using rubbers with a high throw you need to cut under and almost slightly down on the ball. A good feeling to have when pushing or touching is squeezing your grip tighter just as you contact the ball, on both backhand and forehand. This gives you the bite on the ball and helps add stability to your pushes.

It’s also very key to take the ball early especially on short touch shots but pushes as well, before the top of the bounce if possible. Make aure to keep your head and body close to the ball and stay low to keep the control and also the shots low.

Hope this helps and feel free to ask any questions or anything extra you’d like to know.
