I have been adding a delay in arm forward swing in regards to back swing going forward in forehand rotation or unbending from forward bend in backhand.  So the arm follows a bit later and at one point they are going in different directions.  All this happens automatically if my arm is supper relaxed in the backswing. This results in a faster racket speed with a whip like action at the end of the backswing. I feel this is one secret to pros power. I would be interested in your feedback on this concept?

Hi Maurice, yes thats spot on! Getting this delay and whip effect is really important to generating more powe and spin, as you already said being relaxed is a key to get this correct, its also abcasenof getting everything synchronised well so your body, legs and arm all work together in a smooth fluod action. Of course atill creating this small delay of whipping the arm through the shot as you said.

If you can get this happening automatically it will really helo you shot quality!

So the key to pro power is super relaxed in backswing and then explosive fast push of the ground from one foot on forehand giving whip effect on arm giving max racket speed with relaxed arm to contact.

Definitely Maurice! That is a massive part of getting pro power, all the elements you mentioned there. Also I would say really good weight transfer and body rotation which we have videos on in the Academy ?
