Great work guys.
I’m hoping you can clarify bit of a grey area for me after I watched your returning side spin video.
Your advice is to be soft and feel the ball/spin and not to quick through the ball to I guess keep more control. Another well ish known YouTube coach, begins with t ends in iak :), advises a more positive contact to overcome incoming spin and have your direction of contact dictate the balls direction more, what do you think? Thanks Adam

Hi Adam, Yes I understand what you mean, you do need enough acceleration through the shot to control and overcome the incoming spin for sure. The problem we find when people try to do this to early is they end up hitting the ball very thick ad flat, so you really need the soft feeling and brushing contact on the ball first and then add some more acceleration and of course finishing your bat in the direction you want the ball to go. We just emphasis this element first as we believe this is key to long term improvement and players aren’t simply forcing the ball over without understanding the feel and control. After you master this you’ll find a more positive contact and finishing position will add to the shots. Hope that makes sense and clears things up 🙂

Thanks Tom for your speedy reply, yes it helps a lot thanks as I mostly push short spinney serves and have found more success using a more committed stroke/push, I’m not a beginner though and have fairly good touch, just wish I could read serves quicker haha, keep up the great work 🙂
