Hi Tom
As a foillow up to my last question regarding DNA rubbers, I decided to take the bull by the horns and transfer the DNA hard rubber on my spare bat to the one I use regularly.  I now have 2 sheets of DNA hard rubber on both sides.  I could feel almost immediately that there was a power increase from the DNA soft rubber and any stroke hesitation I may have had in allowing for the difference in speed and spin has disappeared as both sides now produce the same reaction to spin and speed. Thanks again for the advice.
I have attached 3 links to some basic strokes using bothe side with DNA hard rubbers. I have slowed the action down to get a better view of how I am attempting to generate the power (from bending of the legs, body turn, elbow and wrist movement).  There are still some elements I would like to develop and with practise I hope the movements will become more natural and powerful (especially the footwork!!)
The links are:
1)   Forehand topspin and backhand drive

2)  Backhand topspin

3)  Backhand push and open up

Kind Regards
Alex

Hey Alex,

That’s great to hear you made the switch and found it helpful straight away, very pleased to hear that!

As you said the footwork as you mentioned of course is a vital area and it will improve with focus on this area of course.from the videos it looke like you’re hitting the ball well and I can see a big improvement from videos you’ve sent in the past in terms of technique. You look a lot more relaxed in the arm and body which will help you generate more spin and give you control too.

The legs and body especially on the backhand side is very good, I would say just make sure the wrist is released forwards and in front, but otherwise looking good.

On the forehand, much more relaxed arm too which is great, your body rotation is very good just be sure you are staying low at the end of the shot and keeping your weight forward. Keep up the great work though!
