I was playing a person the other day and no matter what shot I done whether it was slow or fast or heavy topspin backspin or sidespin he could just flat hit it straight past me so what tactics can I use against players like these?

Hi Reece,
Usually against this style of players you need to get the ball deep in the table which makes it much harder to flat hit. Also sometimes against this style you need to play stronger and right into their body/elbow so again its hard to flat hit and they have to move out of the way to play an effective shot!
