I have heard online that using an all wood blade is better for improvement  so I’m wondering if I should switch my timo boll alc back to my butterfly petr korbel blade. My rubbers are hurricane 3 and tenergy 64.

Hey Reece, It’s difficult to say that all wood is better for improvement because it does come down to personal preference as everyone likes different things so some players will find carbin blades feel better and others will prefer wood.

Wood blades in genral are slightly slower and give more feeling for the ball and in turn control. But if your happy with your Alc and feel you are progressing then I see no reason to change. However if you think you could do with some more control and need to slow things down a bit to improve your shots then the wood blade will be worth a try. You can always switch back if you don’t get on with it. The key thing is finding something that feels comfortable and natural, even if that is the alc, long term you will still be able to improve using that 🙂

Ok I think I will stick with the alc as I like the feeling. Thanks?
