Hey Cos,
Ok so I’ve has a look at the video you sent, I think your overall movement and technique is good but there are a couple of things which I feel can help you improve this shot even more. The first one is your body position and weight transfer, I feel at the moment you get down to the ball ready to play it but then as you hit through the shot your body lifts up slightly which means you lose power and your energy isn’t transferred forward as much as it can be. So really try to keep your body low and forward as you hit through the ball and think about your shoulders and waist rotating back and then forward and also pushing your weight forward into the shot. I think your body comes up sometimes because the timing is a bit late and the ball has dropped slightly, so focus on hitting at the top of the bounce too.
Secondly I think is your energy store and release, I feel you can get yourself prepared a bit earlier and this will allow you to get more spring effect and speed through the ball. Exactly what I mean is explained in this video:
With practice on these 2 areas of the shot I believe you can have a really really good aggressive forehand against backspin, they are not big changes and your technique is strong so keep up the good work! Cheers, Tom
