Further to my last question on tactics to overcome an opponent dictating the game by taking the ball early… I kept my service short with backspin /sidespin and if the return was also short I made a long aggressive push, keeping the ball as low as possible to the back left or right hand side of the table (and occasionally in the middle). This kept the opponent guessing and I was able to initiate an attack when I received a loose ball on either my backhand or forehand.
I won all three games in the match against one of the top teams in the league.

Hey Alex, this is great to hear! We’re happy the tactics with the serving helped and you were able to get the attack in more often, let us know in the future if you need tactics against other players, but its great that you won all 3 matches!
