Placement in table Tennis specific
Hi i have a question about the placement of my topspins 1 specific one. I Heard generally that the table IS build in a way that there Is a small Corner where i also could place my Topspins instead of the wide Backhand Corner. I saw that its generally very effective because It feels my topspins are much sharper but my question is IS IT possible to really learn reliable to Play my Topspins into the short Corner can i make this as 1 of my Default places where i Play Most my Topspins in and also is It possible to practice It this much that my topspins Automatic are that Sharp that they would Not Miss the short Corner. Or you think this IS Not the best idea because i personally think If i will be able to master to Play my Topspins into the short Corner this will Help likely a Lot with making the Position of my opponent uncomfortable but the question is are Most ball during the Rally have a good chance that i will be really able to place them into the short Corner Is this Something i should practice and use AS Default ?
Hey Gabriel, I don’t think this needs to be your default placement but it is something that you can definitely make use of a lot during games to make players uncomfortable as you said. In table tennis it’s always important to have variety and options in your game because each different player will find different things hard. So for sure work on this and get really comfortable with it and it can be a great weapon in your game. But with anything good, if you overuse it all the time players will get used to it and adjust. So mixing it up and keeping people guessing is even more important. Tom
