Coach CornerBack to basics
ReeceTowe123 asked 3 years ago

Hi Dan and Tom, my country is currently back in lockdown and I am stuck with a very basic robot I have been playing for near two years and have reached a good level. I was wondering if it would be worth spending this time trying to master the basic shots. Will this help me improve my level or would it be more efficient  to work on slightly more advanced shots e.g. forehand topspin

Hey Reece, yeah unfortunately it’s the same here too. It’s never a bad thing to really spend time having solid basics and being super confident with them, you can still improve muscle memory and timing etc. A combination with f this and then add is some work on the more advanced stuff is great because this will keep the training against the robot interesting and stop it being boring. You can also challenge yourself and push yourself more to improve the more advanced skills, hope that helps 🙂 Tom
