Backhand dominant Player but Feeling more consistency with the forhand

Hi so generally i Always was a more Backhand dominant Player in the past. But right now what i see in my Game really AS i Loop with the backhand i need mich more to adjust my stroke If the ball comes fast Back into the backhand also on the backhand If the ball Is coming Higher i can Not really give that much pressure to the opponent. So somehow i See that my forhand feels now much more consistent i mean i dont really Miss time that much balls on the forhand and also with the forhand people i See struggle more with my forhand i have the Feeling but Still my Game was Always been Played mainly by my Backhand but i See my Backhand somehow makes more mistakes even If it feels more Natural. My question now If i See now that somehow my forhand IS more consitent and even more Dangerous even If my Backhand feels more Natural i should still try to Play now more forhand from the middle and also From the backhand Side when possible because i make less erros with my forhand and its much more Powerful But my Backhand feels more Natural. So i now unsure should i Play maybe more forhand now the thing Is i am also very tall and have much Mass what should i do ?

Hey Gabriel, it’s really what you feel comfortable with and you have to take each ball as it comes. I would say mainly if you feel your forehand is more dangerous then you can try to use that from the middle when possible. But of course in matches you can end up out of position or not able to move around for a forehand fats enough, so then a backhand would be the better option. So it’s quite individual on each shot. A great practice would be playing topspins from this middle area and practice switching between backhand and forehand so you feel comfortable with both. Dan 🙂
