Coach CornerEquipmentBuy another pair of Rakza 7 or buy different rubbers?
João Victor Flores asked 2 months ago

Hi guys, I’d like advice before buying a new rubber.
I’m currently using Bty Sk7 classic and a pair of Rakza 7, but my rubbers worn out and I need a new pair.
I like to play close to the table and middle distance with powerful topspin and looping, what do you suggest, buy another pair of rakza 7 or buy different ones?
As for the blade, Is it worth changing the sk7 for an inner carbons?
*ps: I’d like a durable rubber.

I am an intermediate level player and I prefer rubbers with medium hardness topsheet like rakza 7, Tenergy 05 than harder topsheet like Nittaku G1.

Hey Joao, I would say if you don’t have a specific reason to change your rubbers or blade and you are happy and comfortable with the feeling then stick to it. Often changing equipment can actually slow down progress unless you do it for a certain reason, the most important thing is that you like the feeling and are comfortable with it. So my suggestion would usually be to stick with the same set up. Tom 🙂
